EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – March 20, 2005 – Dink Adoo extended his winning streak to 10 with a length and a quarter victory in the third race, the first of two $50,000 divisions of the first round of the Su Mac Lad Series, on Sunday afternoon at the Meadowlands.

Dink Adoo [$4.30, $3.60, $2.20] is now a perfect six-for-six in 2005 and has not lost a race since August 21, 2004 when he finished second in a deadheat at Northfield Park.

Cordial Martini [$7.00, $2.80] came up the inside to finish second with Upalazyriver [$2.40] finishing third by five and a half lengths.

Cat Manzi positioned Dink Adoo on the back of 2004 Su Mac Lad winner HP Paque into the stretch and tipped around him to make his successful bid. The track surface was downgraded to good by steady showers. HP Paque finished fourth. Mysterious Speed, the early leader faded to fifth and Fool’s Goal, making his 2005 debut, was sixth.

Dink Adoo, a six-year-old gelded son of Inquirer, trotted the mile in 1:55 flat, equaling his lifetime best. He now has 31 wins, 23 seconds and 12 thirds in 101 lifetime starts and earnings of $313,800. Trained by Ken Rucker, the trotter was acquired by Spiridon Apostolatos’ Panhellenic Stable Corporation of Long Island City, New York, on September 30, 2002.

ENS Snapshot (3), driven by David Miller and trained by Steve Elliott, covered the mile in 1:56.2 to win Sunday’s second division of the Su Mac Lad.

In the second division, carded as the fifth race, ENS Snapshot, unraced in 2004, posted his first win in three starts this year.

Argentinean-bred Chucaro Ahijuna, who had swept the Mack Lobell Series at Pompano Park and was the United States Trotting Association’s Horse of the Month for February, was sent off as the even-money favorite but he broke on the first turn and was never a factor.

ENS Snapshot, driven by David Miller and trained by Steve Elliott, covered the mile in 1:56.2, winning by a half-length over a fast-closing Hurri Kane Billy G [$3.80, $3.00]. Approved Action [$4.80], who set the pace, finished third by a length and a quarter.

ENS Snapshot, who won his Hambletonian elimination and was seventh in the 2002 final, now has 11 wins, four seconds and six thirds from 37 career starts and earnings of $384,460. He was injured at four and missed more than a year with a suspensory injury.

He has earned $30,100 since current owner Barry Alfred of Kahnawake, Quebec, acquired him last November at the Harrisburg Sale.

The Meadowlands is closed next Sunday, March 27, for Easter. The Su Mac Lad’s second leg is schedule for April 3 with the $154,200 final on April 10.
