$10,000 Pacific Series Final should be a wild one

Crete, IL — A very evenly matched group of 10 fillies will square off in Tuesday’s featured seventh race, the $10,000 Pacific Pacing Series Final, at Balmoral Park.

Margaret and Tracey Parke’s Ft Apache Annie comes into the final sporting wins in the two preliminary rounds and she could be the one to beat in this tussle. The three-year-old daughter of Ft Apache Hanover has shown versatility in her two victories, scoring in front stepping fashion here at Balmoral and then following that up with a very impressive come from behind triumph last week at Maywood. Sporting a record of 2-1-1 in five starts this season, the Alex Adam-trained miss took her career mark of 1:56 in that opening leg victory.

Monique Bernardi and Max Hansen’s Imgonnagetchagood made her career debut in last week’s action and when the smoke cleared she wound up with a very game neck decision in 1:57 at Maywood Park. This royally bred daughter of Jenna’s Beach Boy appears to be loaded with ability and if she continues to move forward off that sparkling debut it could be bad news for the rest of this field.

Another who figures to garner a fair share of support in here is George Lombard’s Anita Wind. This filly has been heavily backed in the first two legs of this series but has come up just a bit short with a second and third place finishes. The Mike Arnold-trained miss is loaded with speed and she could be very dangerous if she’s able to find a good early spot in this battle.

Others who cannot be overlooked in here include Maddymollymacey, who posted the fastest winning mile of the series with a 1:55.4 clocking; Barkney Spears, a game front stepping winner in leg two action; and Booty Boo, a rapidly improving filly who was a fast closing second behind Maddymollymacey in the opening leg of the series.

Completing the field are Lady Hacker, Hurrikanegabrielle, Nuke’s Classic and Saratoga Rose.
