FREEHOLD, NJ – – Two divisions of the New Jersey Sire Stakes for NJ-sired, juvenile trotting colts and geldings were contested at Freehold Raceway on Tuesday.

In the first division, which was worth $20,500, Christina Takter, Lindy Racing Stable and Anderberg Stable’s Manopoly rallied in the stretch to score a one and one-half length, 2:01 victory with Marcus Johansson in the sulky. Grit Your Teeth (Jeff Gregory), who had lead from just past the opening quarter mile mark, held well for second. Brickhouse Road (Stephen Smith) finished 10 and one-half lengths back in fourth, but was placed third when Northern Kid (Cat Manzi) was disqualified to fifth for a violation of the breaking rule.

Manopoly, a son of Malabar Man, recorded his second win in five career starts. The Jimmy Takter-conditioned colt returned $12.80 to win.

The second division, a $20,000 race, saw Robert Rosenheim Stables’ White Hollow Bob overcome an early break and score a four and three-quarter length tally in 2:04.2. Uni-optic Man (Stephen Smith), the only horse to stay flat in the seven horse field, raced evenly to nail down the place spot. Mick The Quick (Ron Pierce) finished twelve and three-quarter lengths behind the winner in third.

White Hollow Bob, who is trained by Morgan McInnis, won for the first time in four career outings. Overlooked in the wagering, the Muscles Yankee colt rewarded his supporters with a win mutuel of $20.00.
