Panther Hall goes for third straight

by Steve Wolf, Director of Marketing, Pompano Park

Pompano Beach, FL — Panther Hall has been on the prowl as of late and goes for his third straight win at Pompano Park on Wednesday in the sixth race trot.

The seven-year-old gelding by Garland Lobell starts from post six for driver John Kakaley and has won three of his past four starts, and four of his last seven for owner/trainer George Napolitano of Margate, Florida.

Over the past two weeks Panther Hall has shown his ability to win from both on and off the pace. Last week he was able to leave, grab cover, come on in the backstretch to take command and win by a head in 1:59. The prior week Panther Hall made good use of the rail, quarter moved to take the lead and pulled away for a three and one-half length triumph in 1:591.

Another return winner in the field is Seamster from post three for owner/trainer/driver Tom Lehmann of Sarasota, Florida. Last week Seamster ended his 11-race losing streak in 2004, grabbing early cover, moving to the lead in the backstretch and then scoring an impressive ten and one-half length romp in 2:002.

Other contenders in the race include Chili Red (post two) for driver Wally Hennessey, who last week lost in a photo finish to Panther Hall, and S Sparrow Express (post one) a recent 2:004 winner.
