Berry Fast Cash seeks win number 12

by John Manzi, publicity director, Monticello Raceway

Monticello, NY — Two weeks ago she got caught in the lane and finished third, but last week Berry Fast Cash rebounded with yet another wire-to-wire triumph, her 11th of the season.

On Monday afternoon, May 24, the six-year-old daughter of Long Fella will be seeking her 12th victory when she takes on a field of eight from post five in the third race on the 10 race card at Monticello Raceway.

Zeke Parker will again be at the controls for trainer “King Arthur” Green and Berry Fast Cash has been tabbed the morning line favorite, a designation that the Kermit Allen-owned mare is used to this season.

Currently the third winningest horse in North America, she trails the leader, Last Card Johnnie, by four victories.

According to her driver, Zeke Parker, Berry Fast Cash is right on track to challenge Golden Storm GB’s Monticello track record of 21 wins in a single season.
