Hambletonian hopeful makes it three straight

East Rutherford, NJ — Hurri Kane Billy G ($5.20, $3.00, $2.20) posted his third straight victory in a $25,000 three-year-old open trot, the third race on Thursday night at the Meadowlands.

Hurri Kane Billy G, who is eligible to the $1 million Hambletonian, trotted the mile in 1:553.
The son of Donerail, driven by Daniel Dube and trained by John McDermott, trotted the mile in 1:553, finishing three-quarters of a length in front of Armbro Barrister ($4.40, $2.40). Dexter Cup winner Beissinger Hanover ($2.40), who cut most of the mile, faded to third, a length and quarter back.
Hurri Kane Billy G has three wins and a second in five starts this year and a lifetime bankroll of $61,687 for the partnership of John P. McDermott of Lyndhurst, New Jersey; Alan D. Hogan’s Two H’s Farm of Jupiter, Florida and Anthony Lombardi, Jr. of Fairfield, New Jersey.
Hurri Kane Billy G is eligible to the $1 million Hambletonian on August 7 at the Meadowlands.
