Bonnie Rae Cronin, a volunteer with the American Standardbred Adoption Program in Wisconsin, drowned in a flash flood of the Bad Axe River in Wisconsin on Sunday, May 9.

Ms. Cronin’s body was found on the evening of May 11 about a quarter mile from where her jeep was found submerged and on its roof. She had been attempting to drive across a bridge when it was hit by a flash flood.
