Crest continues to ride wave to success

Pompano Beach, FL —Gerard Levesque is literally riding his own Crest to success at Pompano Park Harness Track these days as his four-year-old stallion, Crest, goes for his fourth win in his past five starts on Monday.

Crest starts from the rail Monday in the ninth race $3,600 trot and will be driven by Kevin Wallis. They are the 7-5 betting favorite. Levesque, of Bell, Florida, owns and trains Crest.

Last week the Malabar Man sired stallion had a dream two hole trip drive from Wallis, following pacesetter U Toe The Bike the entire mile and getting up in the stretch to win by one length in a lifetime best 1:56 clocking.

U Toe The Bike and driver Bruce Ranger are also in the race again, saddled with the outside post seven. They are the 9-5 second choice in the race.

Other contenders include the world record holding double-gaited mare, Remember Kate, in post five for driver George Napolitano, Jr. along with Broward County (post three) and Classic Jade (post two).
