EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – March 10, 2004 – Stormies Girl and Sweet On Art each won her respective $20,000 first round division of the Jersey Girls Series on Wednesday night at the Meadowlands.

In the second race, the first division, Stormies Girl [$9.60, $3.20, $2.10] drew off to a length and a half victory over 1-2 favorite Four Starzzzz Hope [$2.20, $2.10], the Night Styles Final winner, in 1:53.2. It was a length and three-quarters to Traker Dream [$2.10] in third.

Stormies Girl, driven by Ron Pierce and trained by Darby Miller, posted her fourth win in seven starts this year for the JML Stables of Heathrow, Florida and Three Ring Circus Stable of Buffalo, New York.

Sweet On Art bested Maple Lady in the 2nd division of the Jersey Girls.

In the third race, Sweet On Art [$13.40, $5.40, $3.00] finished a neck up on Maple Lady [$2.80, $2.40] in 1:54. Four Starzzzz Ittt [$3.00] was third by a length.

Trained and driven by Ray Schnittker, Sweet On Art picked up her third win along with a second and two thirds from nine starts this year. She races for Steve Jones of Mongomery, New York.

The top 10 money-earners from two preliminary rounds of action will advance to the $70,000 estimated Jersey Girls Final on March 24 at the Meadowlands.
