Time Frame N used the passing lane to win the $12,500 Mares Pace on Tuesday.

Akowskey, Korn, Kross and Ehrhart’s New Zealand import Time Frame N won for the first time in 2004, as nine-time track leading driver Eddie Davis used patience well. He waited behind front pacing Nuclear Power (Jim King, Jr.) until midway down the lane, before exercising the passing lane to blow past the leader nearing the finish line to record a 1:543 victory in a $12,500 Mares Pace. My Gal Phyl (Roger Hammer) took show honors.

Odds-on favorite Heart Escape rallied late in the stretch to overtake Lilianna Beauty (Eddie Davis) in the final stride to post a 1:55 victory in a $12,000 Delaware Pace. Brewer Adams drove the Artiscape four-year-old mare to her second win this year for owners Bob and Peggy Layton and trainer Neil Baker. Fastest Gun (Martin Davis) finished third.

Ross Wolfenden became the third driver this meet to reach three figures in dash wins. The New Zealand native who now calls Dover his home, drove William Moffett’s Love A Lab home in 1:552 to win a $10,500 Mares Pace. Tuahiwi Trick N (Rick Still) finished second in front of RN Artist (Roger Hammer).

Earlier he guided Bettyjane Corey’s She’s So Fine N to a 1:571 win in an $8,200 Delaware Pace.

Pretty Goal Vita closed strongly to capture Tuesday’s top trot.

In the day’s top trot, Pretty Goal Vita took advantage of starting from post one as 22-1 shot Picture Seelster (Eddie Davis, Jr.) cut out all the early fractions and led by two lengths turning for home. Jim King took Pretty Goal Vita to the outside and came on strongly to roll past the leader approaching the finish line and posted a 1:572 victory, the first of the year after two seconds and a third in six starts for owners Helen Looney and JoAnn King. Picture Seelster held on for second. Primo Rager (Brad Hanners) was third.

Eddie Davis made good use of the passing lane. In addition to Time Frame N, Boston Bopp Comet, owned by Allan Pullman and Joe Glickstein, won a $12,500 claiming trot in 1:593 and Davis-owned The Fat Cat notched a 1:564 decision in a $12,500 Mares Delaware claiming allowance. All three winners used the “Lightning Lane.” Davis also collected a trio of second place finishes.
