FREEHOLD, NJ – – Hall of Famer Cat Manzi showed once again why he is one of harness racing’s best as he drove five winners on the 11 race card at Freehold Raceway on Wednesday.

Manzi, a 53-year-old resident of Freehold, took both ends of the early daily double, winning the opener aboard Sugar N Sakra ($27.80) and the second race with SJ’s Covergirl ($4.20). Manzi added Winners Deal ($3.80), Taylor’s Tyler ($7.20) and Last Card Johnnie ($3.40) to give him a total of five victories.

Manzi leads all drivers at Freehold this meeting with 198 winners. Jeff Gregory is in a distant second with 143 and Jim Morrill, Jr. rounds out the top three with 134 driving victories.
