A Rocknroll Dance sets Canadian record

Campbellville, ON —– Fresh off setting a 1:47.4 world record in his most recent start, A Rocknroll Dance, driven by Tim Tetrick, followed up that effort with a Canadian record of 1:47.3 in his C$40,000 elimination of the Canadian Pacing Derby.
The free-for-all pacer cleared to the front past the opening station in :26.3. The 15-time winner continued to lead past the half in :53.4 and three-quarters in 1:21.1.
Turning for home, Tetrick asked his charge for more pace and A Rocknroll Dance responded with an :26.2 final quarter to win by a neck. Clear Vision (Brett Miller) came from off-the-pace to finish second, with Foiled Again (Yannick Gingras) third.
Trained by James Mulinix for A Rocknroll Dance Stable, A Rocknroll Dance now has $2,066,602 in career earnings. He has crafted a 4-0-1 record from 11 starts this season. He paid $5.10 towin.
Fresh off setting a world record in his latest start, Bolt The Duer, driven by Mark MacDonald, captured the other elimination in 1:48.1.
The talented son of Ponder cleared to the front past the opening marker in :26.1 and never looked back through panels of :54.1 and 1:21.1 en route to a3-1/4 length victory. Sweet Lou (Yannick Gingras) finished second after a pocket trip, with Atochia (Brett Miller) third.
Trained by Peter Foley for Allstar Racing Inc, Bolt The Duer increased his bankroll to $1,608,530. The 4-year-old has a 4-4-1 record from 11 starts this season.
The top five finishers from each elimination advance to the C$651,000 final on Saturday, August 31 – a part of the Metro Pace undercard.
