Chester, PA — Fresh off a trio of preps, including a wire-to-wire 2:01.2 qualifier at the Meadowlands, All Star Hanover ($6.80) was in fine form, taking the fastest of six Pennsylvania Sire Stakes divisions for 2-year-old trotting fillies, turning in a 1:59.4 performance on Monday (June 30) at Harrah’s Chester).

The daughter of Cantab Hall-Astraea Hanover sat well off the leader and 3-5 favorite Favor Baby (Brian Sears) through early fractions of :28.4, 1:00.2, and 1:30 before David Miller tipped her to the outside midway on the far turn. At the head of the stretch, All Star Hanover moved on level terms with pocket-sitter Lady B Pearl (Mike Lachance), continuing steadily through a :28.4 final quarter to take the lead in the final strides, defeating Favor Baby by a half length. Lady B Pearl held third.

Cantab Hall fillies were victorious in three other divisions, with Missy’s Doubt Fire (Missy’s Goalfire, 2:00.3, Jimmy Takter), Musical Mystery (Musical Victory, 2:00.4, Mike Lachance), and Perfect Prelude (Missys Go Go, 2:03.4, Trond Smedshammer) all winners of their respective splits. Caviar For The Lady (SJ’s Caviar-Croupier Lady) won in 2:00.4 with Tony Morgan in tow, and Dover Miss (Andover Hall-Miss Athens) took the final division in 2:01.1 to give Mike Lachance a driving double.

Live racing returns to Harrah’s Chester on Wednesday, July 2, with first post scheduled for 12:25 p.m.
