All The Time is back and will face Broadway Donna in Breeders Crown final

East Rutherford, NJ — All The Time (Yannick Gingras) trotted down the middle of the track in the final eighth to take the lead and win in 1:55.1 by a half-length in her $25,000 elimination race for the $500,000 Breeders Crown 3-year-old filly trot on Saturday (Oct. 22) at the Meadowlands.

All The Time was a 1:55.1 winner in her Breeders Crown elimination.

The Hambletonian Oaks winner, All The Time was stricken with colic and required major surgery the day after winning the August classic. She was away from the races almost two months, returning to win two qualifiers on Oct. 4 and 11.

All The Time (Muscle Hill-Cantab It All) was well off the early pace set by Non Stick (Ake Svanstadt), who got to the lead just past the :28.4 quarter. Those two held the lead to the :57.4 half-mile marker. Spicedbourbongirl (Jeff Gregory) was tucked in behind in second throughout.

By the 1:26.3 three-quarters, Fad Finance (Trond Smedshammer) trotted up to challenge and was even with the leader as the two turned to the homestretch.

First Caprice Hill (Tim Tetrick) and then All The Time (Yannick Gingras) came out of the pack in the middle of the track to challenge for the lead. All The Time won the sprint to the wire, with Caprice Hill and Fad Finance completing the trifecta. Dewdle All Day (James MacDonald) was fourth and Side Bet Hanover (Corey Callahan) was fifth, to get the final spot in the final.

All the Time ($5.60) is trained by Jimmy Takter and owned by her breeders, Marvin Katz and Al Libfeld.

“Last time she was racing was the Hambletonian Oaks,” said Takter. “She won it, but unfortunately, the day after she went through colic surgery and she’s been out since then. This is a really sweet moment for me. I mean, to see this filly coming back, she’s just a pure champion, this girl, now that she’s better.

“Mid-Atlantic (Veterinary Clinic) did a heck of a job and we were very fortunate that it was not the most serious kind of colic, but you know it was enough that we had to open her up. To be here for the Breeders Crown, that is what I was waiting for and she sure looked great tonight.”

David Miller flew down the stretch aboard Broadway Donna to win the second $25,000 Breeders Crown elimination for 3-year-old trotting fillies at the Meadowlands on Saturday (Oct. 22).

Emoticon Hanover took the early lead with Windowshopper second and Flowers N Songs third at the :28 first quarter-mile and the field stayed in single file to the half in :57.4. Earn Your Wings was the first to pull heading for three-quarters, getting up to the leader in 1:27. As a brief duel ensued, the second tier formed with Flowers N Songs third-over and full of trot, while favorite Broadway Donna went three-wide to make a charge.

Broadway Donna soared down the outside lane about five-wide and hit the wire first in 1:55 for trainer Jim Campbell and owners Fashion Farms LLC.

Emotiicon Hanover held on for second, Flowers N Songs took third, while Earn Your Wings earned a berth in the final by finishing fourth, as did Celebrity Eventsy for finishing fifth.

Miller said after the race that Broadway Donna is, “The best she has been all year . . . She kicked home real good.”
