Art Official to race in Horseman Stake at Indianapolis

Columbus, OH — Meadowlands Pace champion Art Official will be part of a compact five-horse field in the $28,979 Horseman Stake on Saturday (August 16) during the Grand Circuit program at The Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis.

The winner of $972,550 this year will start from post position four, with Travis Seekman in the sulky for his father, trainer Joe Seekman. The Art Major-Naughty Shady Lady lad is owned by Sawgrass Farms LLC.

The same connections will also have an entry in the featured event of the day, the $63,343 Fox Stake for 2-year-old pacers. Annieswesterncard, coming off a personal best 1:50.3 score in a $76,000 division of the Elevation at Indiana Downs, has drawn the outside post in the nine-horse field. The Western Hanover-Annie Your A Card juvenile has won three of his five lifetime starts, while earning $48,062.

A total of 12 Grand Circuit stakes races will be contested on the program, which begins at 10:00 a.m.
