Ft. Washington, MD — Art’s Pretty Lady is stepping up in class to the $6,000 Open distaff pace at Rosecroft Raceway on Friday, March 7, after winning three consecutive miles in impressive fashion.

Set to be driven by Frank Milby from the rail position as the 2-1 morning line choice, the trainee of Connie Kamit has shown increasing speed her last few starts. On February 29, the mare won by over six lengths in 1:54.3 with a last quarter of :27.4. Susan Chytla and Nicholas Kamit, Jr. co-own the 5-year-old daughter of Arturo.

Gen-U-Wine Raider is sharp as well at 5-2 early odds for owners Julie and Lois Swann, winning her last two miles in upper-level conditioned classes. Trained by Thomas Swann, the 7-year-old Keystone Raider mare quarter-poled for the lead last time to win by a half-length in 1:55.2 as the even-money choice. Gen-U-Wine Raider will have Kelly Staten at her lines this week, as regular reinsman Frank Milby will be driving the early favorite in the race.

At 4-1 odds from post position five, High Speed Racer went wire-to-wire in her last start in 1:54.3 for trainer Roger Hans. The 4-year-old Nuclear High mare, racing for owner Tom Cooke, will have Wayne Long in the bike.

Rounding out the field are Wishwell Buttercup (Timmy Offutt, 8-1), You Diehl (Donnie Russell, 6-1) and Gorgeous Lover (Victor Kirby, 5-1).
