  • Fan Of Terror takes the Claim To Fame Series final at Miami Valley

Fan Of Terror is officially the ‘King of the Hill’ among $20,000 claimers at Miami Valley Raceway after capturing the $32,500 Claim To Fame final for that division on Saturday night (Feb. 2). For trainer Brady Galliers it was the second lucrative Claim To Fame final in as many weeks having copped the $12,500 split with RHP. • Gingras in seventh heaven at Big M

One would think after winning seven times over the course of last weekend’s two race cards at the Meadowlands that driver Yannick Gingras would have a tough time coming up with an encore. Think again. The 39-year-old Gingras, who led the Big M driver colony in wins during January with 15, came within one win of history Friday night (Feb. 1) at the mile oval, winning seven times on the 13-race card, falling one victory short of the Big M single-card record of eight, which is shared by Mike Lachance and Brett Miller.
  • Wrenn on the drive for five (thousand)

Some folks don’t like talking about potential milestones within their grasp for fear of jinxing them. But driver Ronnie Wrenn Jr. is downright chatty about it. He can become the third-youngest driver to win 5,000, behind Tim Tetrick (27) and Walter Case Jr. (30). His pursuit resumes Friday (Feb. 1) at The Meadows and he’s back at his home track of Northfield Park on Saturday (Feb. 2).
  • Pandy’s Picks: Feb. 1 M

Bob Pandolfo offers his picks for the $50,000 Late Pick-4 at Meadowlands Racetrack on Feb. 1, part of the U.S. Trotting Association Strategic Wagering Program.
  • Brett Miller leads, Tharps second on first day of North America Drivers Championship

Brett Miller enjoys a slim lead after the first of two preliminary rounds in the $25,000 North America Drivers Championship currently being contested at Miami Valley Raceway.  The native Ohioan, who plans to return to the Buckeye State for the 2019 season, accumulated 75 points with a win, a second, a third and a fourth place finish in his four drives on Sunday (Jan. 6). Randy Tharps, who scored the only driving double on the day, is a solid second with 72 points.
  • Andy Miller wins six at Big M

Andy Miller might be known as “The Orange Crush” but on Saturday night (Jan. 5) at the Meadowlands, anyone who referred to the driver as “Red Hot” would have been 100 percent accurate. Miller won six times on the 13-race program, and for good measure, included among his victories was the $21,000 featured Preferred Handicap for pacers.
