Babies in NYSS competition at Tioga Downs

Dan Daley steered two trotters to victory in NYSS action for 2-year-old colt & gelding trotters Saturday night at Tioga Downs.

The first victory came in the second division with Spin Spanky Spin in his first career victory for the $41,000 yearling purchase. The son of Conway Hall out of the Pine Chip mare Spin The Planet toured the sloppy Tioga racetrack in 2:07.2. Daley made his second trip to the winner’s circle with Dillar A Dollar in the fourth division of NYSS competition. Dillar A Dollar is a Conway Hall son out of the S J’s Photo mare Mark Ye Well, and was a $25,000 yearling purchase.

Driver Dan Daley made his second trip to the winner’s circle with Dillar A Dollar in the fourth division of NYSS competition.

Judge Joe and DR Ackerman remained undefeated in their third lifetime start. The duo took down the $38,747 first division of the New York Sire Stakes for in 2:04.1 over a track rated sloppy. The son of Credit Winner out of the Garland Lobell mare Judge Judy was a homebred colt for the Doug Ackerman Stable. Toby Lynch Jr. and Coal Daily finished second, while Grand Way and John Stark Jr. finished third.

Bruce Aldrich Jr. took the $39,447 third division with Donttellmywife, a son of Malabar Man-Nowerland Sweet T.

Tioga Downs will host its second annual Driver’s Championship on Sunday, July 27th with a post time of 1:15 p.m. There will be a driver meet and greet that includes an autograph session at 12:00 p.m. on the apron before the races.
