Bartlett has another big night at Yonkers

by Jack Ginnetti

Marlborough, MA — Jason Bartlett was at it again on Thursday night (May 1) at Yonkers Raceway.

The Windsor, Maine sensation had five winning drives on the 10-race card. Four of his winning drives were with horses trained by Robert Sumner.

The 27-year-old, who scored his 2,000th career win on April 10 at Yonkers, has been finding the winner’s circle with regularity ever since leaving the New England circuit last fall. His 177 firsts, 131 seconds and 89 third-place finishes since the start of 2008 have produced $1,410,796 in purse earnings and a nifty .343 UDR.

Bartlett has twice been nominated by the New England chapter of the U.S. Harness Writers for the Rising Star award.
