Harrington, DE — Trainer Sam Beegle improved to 5-for-5 in Harrington Raceway’s $18,500 Preferred Trot on Wednesday with a 1:59¹ win aboard Frisky Fella.

Beegle won the first three installments of the top weekly event for trotters with Jake’s Nordic. Since then he has swept the next two with Frisky Fella, most recently on Wednesday on the front end with a narrow win over Always On Guard and Flatbush Hero.

It was the fifth win of the year for “Fella,” who sprung a 17-1 upset last week, and was overlooked again this week at odds of 6-1.

Drivers Hal Belote and Brad Hanners each won three races on the program.

Invitations are currently being made to Harrington’s first annual $135,000 “War on the Shore” Invitational Pace on Monday June 21. Some of the sport’s top free for all pacers are expected for the inaugural event.

Racing will continue Thursday with a 5:30 p.m. post time.
