Columbus, OH — On Labor Day, Monday, September 3, the “Best of the Rest” will be raced at Scioto Downs. The purses for each of the eight races, for 2- and 3-year-old pacers and trotters, both colts and fillies, will be $4,000 per race.

The Best of the Rest are overnight races, with no entry fee required. Entries will close on Thursday, August 30, at 9:00 a.m. (EDT).

These races are for any horse who was eligible to any leg of the Ohio Sires Stakes, with the exception of the top eight point-winners, and may be entered even if they did not earn any points in the Ohio Sires Stakes.

The fields will be comprised of the highest point-winners which enter. There will also be several other overnights carded on a Scioto Downs fun-packed Family Day card.
