Columbus, OH — Two-time Dan Patch Award winner Passionate Glide, 2006 Pacer of the Year Total Truth, and last year’s Metro Pace winner Yankee Skyscaper are among the horses entered in this morning’s qualifying races at The Meadowlands.

Passionate Glide will make her 4-year-old debut in the seventh race qualifier, taking on Queen Serene. These two hooked up last fall in a memorable Kentucky Filly Futurity, with Passionate Glide winning in a race-off. Ron Pierce will once again pilot Passionate Glide, while trainer Trond Smedshammer is slated to be behind Queen Serene.

Total Truth, who banked nearly $1.5 million last year, will be making his second qualifying start in 2007. The son of Jenna’s Beach Boy was second in Lis Mara’s 1:49.1 qualifier last Thursday (April 19). Total Truth finished 10-3/4 off the pace and was timed in 1:51.2. He will take to the track in this morning’s 14th qualifier.

Yankee Skyscaper scores from the rail in the 15th qualifier on Thursday. The son of Artiscape banked $545,500 last year on the strength of four wins in nine trips to the post. George Brennan will drive.

A total of 17 qualifying races will take place with a 10:00 a.m. post.
