Bogo’s Dream finishes strong down the stretch

Anderson, IN — Driver Joe Essig, Jr., in control of Bogo’s Dream, was able to end strong in the second leg of the Miss Windfall Series at Hoosier Park on Thursday, April 17.

Bogo’s Dream scored in 1:58.2 in the second leg of the Miss Windfall Series.

Out of the gate, Marie V, controlled by Don Irvine, Jr., was able to take the lead, with Glimmer Of Luck, commanded by Trent Bates, and Skyway Happy, driven by Trace Tetrick, rounding out the top three. Passing the quarter-mile mark in a time of :29.4, Marie V was able to increase the lead by a comfortable 1-1/2 lengths.

On the backstretch, Shezahotlease, managed by Don Eash, was able to take the lead on the outside. Approaching the three-quarter-mile marker in a time of 1:28.3, Shezahotlease was still leading, with Marie V and Bogo’s Dream quickly gaining from the outside.

Coming down the stretch, Bogo’s Dream was able to pull ahead of Shezahotlease to take the lead. Nearing the finish, she was able to get the victory from Marie V in a time of 1:58.2.

Bogo’s Dream, owned by Nickells Stable LLC and William Huggins, is trained by Brooke Nickells. The 3-year-old daughter of Dream Work earned the win in only her second career start. She returned $8.00, $5.20, and $3.00.

The final of The Miss Windfall Series will be held at Hoosier Park on Thursday, April 24, with the winner receiving half of the $16,000 purse.
