Bojarski’s Picks: May 24 Mea

by Tim Bojarski

Tim Bojarski offers his picks for the $5,000 Pick-4 at The Meadows on May 24, part of the USTA Strategic Wagering program.

The Meadows Pick-4 Races 13-16 Tuesday, May 24, 2011

Today we have two trots and two paces and many strong inside starters. Hopefully we can put together a winning ticket.

The bet is $1 Pick-4: 178/1/12/13 for a total of $12.

Analysis:

13th Race

1 Hall-N-Flori looked sharp in her second qualifier and looks ready to roll. This 2011 betting favorite anticipates a big year.

7 Catching Katie only has seven lifetime starts. She won her first out of 2011 here on May 2nd and made an untimely break while chasing one of the best 3 year old trotting fillies in the land last week at Vernon. She gets Tony Hall back today who steered her very well last year.

8 Northmedogoldengirl couldn’t have possibly drawn worst posts this year if she tried. That said, she has been racing very well. Scoring from the 8 again, it is an attainable uphill climb especially with Palone.

14th Race

1 Infrontigo Hanover dropped way down in class last week, yet failed to get across at .70 to the dollar. I will her the benefit of the doubt with the off track and come right back this week.

15th Race

1 Striking Lauren is a win machine, especially from the wood. She is also a horse that can do it either way; in front of from behind. I love this mare in here.

2 Unicornlane has to be bet in here. A perfect spot, she has beaten the morning line choice, and is 12-1 herself morning line. She is coming off a claim and picks up Wilder today.

16th Race

1 Riverbloom is another beaten favorite I will try one more time. She draws inside and should get a perfect journey.

3 A Lady of Grace is a hot and cold horse. But those are the kind you can get a price on. Plus don’t forget, three of her last four were on an off track. I know she is 0 for lifetime, but so are five others in here. With the lack of any real early speed, if she is rated like the mile on April 26th, she could be very tough to beat. And I’ll take that 12-1, too!

Good luck!
