Bouchard wins six at Yonkers

Yonkers, NY — Stephane Bouchard, fresh from a seven win night at Yonkers Raceway this past Saturday, settled for a happy half-dozen during Tuesday night’s (August 3) bakers-dozen bonanza. Four of the winners were sent out by trainer Tim Case.

Bouchard, Yonkers’ leading driver, began his parade to paydirt by capturing the second race pace with Fox Valley Veda ($3.60). It was the third consecutive victory (this one in 2:003) for the four-year-old daughter of Sportsmaster, trained by Case for owner David Schneider.

Bouchard then won the third race pace behind Raceway Park invader Everest Hanover ($5.00), making a successful local debut for owner Martin Scharf and trainer Mark Ford. The 2:001 effort was the sophomore Artsplace gelding’s life best and a third win in a row.

Bouchard’s third in succession came in race four as Caman ($11.80) rolled from off the pace. The eight-year-old Camluck lass, co-owned by Alan and Lawrence Kittenplan and trained by Case, prevailed in 1:59.

After taking the fifth in the fifth — literally, he sat it out — Bouchard aided and abetted R B Princess ($4.10, 1:584) to her third consecutive victory. The five-year-old daughter of Kingston was trained by Case for owner Schneider.

Bouchard took the seventh and ninth races race off — in between finishing fifth in the eighth event — before winning races 10 and 11 with Deb’s Miss Fit ($4.00) and Mac’s Ms Victory ($3.80).

The former, a four-year-old Misfit miss, was a 1:59 victress in her first local try. She gave Schneider his third win as owner, this one trained by Ross Cohen.

The latter, a four-year-old daughter of Sprint Victory, trotted her mile in 2:032 for Case and owner Lawrence Kittenplan. She now has four wins, a second and a third in four Westchester efforts.

Bouchard ended his night finishing fourth and second, respectively, in the evening’s final two contests.

Bouchard finished the evening with 322 wins for the season, good for seventh place in the North American dash standings.
