Salem, NH — Brewer Adams, who grew up in the shadow of Rockingham Park, won four races on Wednesday’s (July 25) card and tightened his hold on first place in the trainer standings and third place on the driver leaderboard with a little less than half of the live meet remaining.

Adams, a native of Haverhill, Mass., who now summers in Newton, N.H., started things off with wins in both halves of the early daily double, scoring with Lucky Flower ($15.80) in the first race and Shezapacingmachine ($5.40) in the second. He also was victorious with Reckless Heart ($7.20) in the fourth and Ridge A ($4.20) in the sixth.

Adams, who drove in seven events on Rockingham’s 10-race card, is also the trainer of Ridge A and Shezapacingmachine.

Adams, 31, is considered a triple threat on the racetrack as he is the owner, trainer and driver of one of the top stables at Rockingham this season. One of his biggest wins during the meet was with Shagon Again in the $20,000 final of the Belle Acton series for 3-year-old pacing fillies.

Live racing resumes on Friday with post time of 1:05 p.m. On Sunday, the track presents the $20,000 final of the Yankee Bambino series for trotters aged 3 and 4.
