BV Victory gets outside post at The Meadows

Meadow Lands, PA — BV Victory is on some winning streak. Her reward for beating up on the boys in consecutive weeks is being saddled with the outside nine post in Tuesday’s Preferred Trot at The Meadows.

Duane Lowe of Ohio owns the mare, while the hot Brad Buxton trains. In fact, Buxton holds a .578 UTR percentage as of January 10th, which is tops at The Meadows.

BV Victory will look to score again in Tuesday’s Preferred Trot at The Meadows.

BV Victory continued her winning ways last week, winning in gate-to-wire fashion for Richard Stillings. Although going gate-to-wire, she was parked for the first quarter mile, yet still had plenty left in the tank, winning in 1:574. BV Victory is the 5-2 morning line favorite.

The only other horse coming off a victory is Diamond Dove. Meadows leading driver and HTA Driver of the Year, Dave Palone drove Diamond Dove to victory on January 8th in a lower classed race. Palone and Diamond Dove used every inch of the track to win, getting up by a nose in 1:581. Francis Azur of Pittsburgh owns, while Mike Palone trains. It’s worth noting that Palone chose Diamond Dove over Bengali, who finished second in the Preferred last week.

Kor-Ans Stables’ Striking Ace is shipping in from Woodbine where he finished a strong second in a non-winners affair. He was timed in 1:562 at Woodbine. The downfall on Striking Ace is the stale date (last raced December 28th). Striking Ace opened as the second choice on the morning line.

Bengali finished second in the Preferred last week, but is 12-1 on the morning line. Keith Kash, Jr. will do the steering, and they’ll leave from post position seven.

Kennywood finished second in this class last start as well, but that was two weeks ago. Dan Charlino will drive the 6-1 fourth choice.

Mysterious Speed, Lemon Pepper, Stars Photo and Striking Gator complete the field of nine trotters.

Please note that The Meadows will have live racing on Wednesday afternoon. First post is 4:00 p.m.
