East Rutherford, NJ — Canyon Wind ($7.40, $3.60, $3.20) peeled off a perfect second-over trip and paced to victory in the fifth race, the featured $26,000 conditioned pace on Saturday night at the Meadowlands.

Canyon Wind, driven by Jack Moiseyev and trained by Steve Elliott, scored a three-quarter length victory over Articulator ($3.00, $2.60). It was two and a quarter lengths to Nvincble Artist ($8.60) in third. The mile time of 1:51¹ was a lifetime best for Canyon Wind, a four-year-old son of Cambest, racing for Schoor-Racing Stable LLC of Colts Neck, New Jersey and Val D’Or Farms of Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey.

Canyon Wind posted his second victory in 11 starts this year, 10 of 48 lifetime, for total earnings of $243,745.
