Carl Cito Jr. notches career win 1,000

FREEHOLD, NJ – – Carl Cito Jr. notched career win 1,000 when he guided Flip N Fast to victory in the eighth race at Freehold Raceway on Thursday.
Cito, a 41-year-old resident of Jackson, NJ, began his career in 1984 and won his first race in 1986. Cito has driven 100 or more winners five times, and his best season came in 2000 when he won 212 races and more than $1.3 million in purses.
Track management gathered in the winner’s circle following the race and presented him with a sign which highlighted his accomplishment.
All told, horses driven by Cito have earned nearly $6.25 million.
