Analysis:

Race 5: Weak race to start tonight’s gimmick and I’ll go with the two speed horses in (6) UF Rockin Dragon who comes off a solid try at Pocono and seems to be improved as a 3-year-old and (8) Real Marriage who showed sparkling speed at The Meadowlands last time and didn’t fade badly considering. Post 8 only knock but this field isn’t much.

Race 6: I have to go three deep here as field lacks much consistency. (2) Wygant Prince has been chasing fast miles in Philadelphia and now returns to the smaller oval and finds a nice spot for strong trot barn. (6) Rule By Strength is 0 for 13 on the year but made a power brush to the top from 8-hole at 94-1 and weakened late at the added 1-1/16th mile distance in much improved try. (8) Anthonyskywalker draws 8-hole in local return the same spot he put in a huge front running try in fast mile on last visit. Tough if he can make the lead early.

Race 7: (3) On The Brink had pace on both ends of 1:52.2 mile at Philadelphia last time following two 8-hole trips here prior. (8) Ideal Romance was used in fast pace at Pocono last time and held show. I’m picking a few 8’s in the sequence but this one has the speed, as do the others, needed to overcome the outside draw.

Race 8: (2) Philly invader Perfect Terror set too fast a pace last time and understandably tired; two back went first-over a long way past a 1:23.1 three quarters before giving way. Switches to half-miler, gets Brennan and should be tough on the engine or from slightly off the pace. (3) Sir Howie’s Z Tam set a lifetime mark at Pocono two back, his first win in 2013, then had pace finishing in torrid 1:49.4 mile last time. Seems to be moving in the right direction and must be included.

Race 9: (5) He Rocks The Moon well bred colt has raced well in both local starts and may prove best against competitive group. (4) By A Time has been the most consistent of any in here and is another who has raced well over the Yonkers strip.
