Ft. Washington, MD — After winning in impressive fashion the past two weeks, Celtic Hall will try to continue his streak in the $9,000 Open Trot at Rosecroft Raceway on Tuesday, November 20.

Trained and driven by Donnie Russell, the 6-year-old Garland Lobell gelding was a winner on November 15 at Harrah’s Chester, trotting wire-to-wire in 1:55.3 over a sloppy track. This week, the gelding will start from the rail position as the 2-1 morning line choice. Russell co-owns the winner of over $185,000 with Edward Needle.

Khifra Hanover will make her first start on the Maryland oval at 5-2 morning line odds for owner Julianna Sue Edwards. Trained by Don Milby, the 5-year-old Lindy Lane mare suffered a tough trip in her last start at Pocono Downs, having to trot three-wide. However, Khifra Hanover shows promising miles, finishing second two starts back in 1:54.4. Frank Milby will drive the mare from post position four.

Rounding out the field are Duya Kid (Victor Kirby, 6-1), Penn Tag (John Wagner, 5-1), Cum On Windswept (Wayne Long, 6-1) and Mountain Breez (Chris Offutt, 5-1).

A division of the $8,000 Open Pace features Temptation at 2-1 morning line odds. The ultra-consistent 4-year-old Dragon Again gelding was competing in upper level classes at Colonial Downs and has been first or second in his last six starts. Manley Brown, Jr. trains for owner Frederick Clive Palmer, and John Wagner will drive from the rail.

After finishing third in the November 6 Open Pace, JJ’s Artiscape looks sharp at 5-2 morning line odds. The 6-year-old Artiscape gelding closed in :27.2 against a challenging field. Trainer ‘Doc’ Davison, Jr. has named Donnie Russell as driver. JJ’s Artiscape will race from post three for owners Mayanne Karmin and Sydell Stone.

Barolo Hanover rounds out the top three choices at 3-1 early odds. The 5-year-old gelded son of The Panderosa, co-owned by trainer Colby Hubble and Jacob Ramsburg, was second against True North Hanover in his last start in 1:54.1. Corey Braden will drive the gelding from post five.

Sleep Easy (Victor Kirby, 4-1) and Racing Naked (Frank Milby, 5-1) close out the field.

In the other $8,000 division of the Open Pace, Drivin’ Miss Rudee is the early 5-2 choice from post two. The 5-year-old Walton Hanover mare showed some success at Colonial Downs for trainer John Sumner, winning in 1:50.3 back in late October. Sumner co-owns the mare with William Camp, Jr., and Donnie Russell will drive.

At 7-2 odds, Jacob’s Western is another to consider. The 6-year-old Western Hanover gelding was third in his last start in this class, finishing in 1:55. Colby Hubble trains and co-owns the gelding with Jacob Ramsburg, and Corey Braden will drive from post position five.

Mc Matz’s Ztam (Charlie Robbins, 8-1), Uncle Bingo (Victor Kirby, 5-1), Samsliptoneldorado (Kelly Staten, 5-1), Fast Tempo (Frank Milby, 4-1) and You’re Welcome (Ron McLenaghan, 6-1) complete the field.

Post time for Tuesday’s big 15-race card is 5:35 p.m.
