Pompano Beach, FL — The Isle Pompano Park will feature its closing night program for the harness meet on Saturday (May 16) along with simulcasting of the second jewel of the Triple Crown, the Preakness Stakes.

After closing night for live harness racing Saturday, the facility will be open seven days a week, all summer long, for simulcasting. Live harness racing will resume on Saturday, September 19.

Trainer Tom Harmer was able to pass Joe Pavia, Jr. as the leading trainer, winning the training title 50 to 47. Anthony Napolitano holds an eight win lead over Bruce Ranger for the driving title, 231 to 223, going into the last night of racing and with just ten races on the program, looks to be a shoo-in to capture his first driving title ever. Both the leading driver and trainer awards will be presented at the start of the new meet on September 19.
