Control The Moment is retired from racing
September 8, 2016,from the Control The Moment Stable
Philadelphia, PA — It is with sadness that the owners of Control The Moment must announce that he has suffered a career ending injury, which has forced him to prematurely retire from racing.
We will always have his remarkable racing career to look back upon, winning eight of nine starts as a 2-year-old, including the Metro, and O’Brien Award as the top 2-year-old in Canada. His 3-year-old season was highlighted by his victories in the Meadowlands Pace and the Cane Pace.
Control The Moment won 12 of his 18 career starts and $1,085,220. He took his lifetime mark of 1:48.2 in winning the Meadowlands Pace.
Fortunately, his injury will have no impact on his ability to breed, and we look forward to what we hope will be a long and successful stallion career. It has not yet been determined where Control The Moment will stand stud. An announcement will be forthcoming as soon as arrangements are finalized.
