Campbellville, ON — A pair of $25,000 Goldsmith Maid eliminations took place Friday featuring the best 2-year-old trotting fillies in North America. Crys Dream scored in a new Woodbine Racetrack track record in the first elimination with Massive Drama posting an upset in the second.

Driver Luc Ouellette sent Crys Dream to the lead and never looked back as she lowered the track record stopping the clock in 1:55.1. The previous record was 1:55.3 set last year by Poof Shes Gone.

Crys Dream took command from post three and flashed first quarter speed of :28.2 with Creme De Cocoa (Doug Ackerman) getting away in second. As the 4-5 post time favorite, Crys Dream got the respect she deserved on the front as she went by the half in 59.2 and three-quarters in 1:27.4.

As the field marched around the final turn, Cedar Dove (Ron Pierce) had to commit first-over but could never reach Crys Dream. Down the stretch Crys Dream was under a comfortable hand drive from Ouellette as she cruised to a two-length victory. Cedar Dove was second with Creme De Cocoa finishing third.

With just one loss in her young career, Crys Dream posted her sixth lifetime win for trainer Henrik Hollsten and owners Reve Avec Moi Dreamwithme, Deo Volente Farm and TLP Stable.

The daughter of Taurus Dream increased her freshman earnings to $345,065. Her connections selected post four in the final.

In the second elimination, favorite Martiniontherocks and second choice Lady Rainbow made costly breaks to eliminate their chances thus opening up the chance for an upset.

Massive Drama (Jody Jamieson) was the filly to capitalize on the miscues as she took the victory for trainer Mark Harder.

Massive Drama was quickest off the gate from post seven and crossed over to take command as the field went past the opening panel in :28.3.

As the talented fillies marched towards the half, Ugotlegs was called upon by driver Luc Ouellette and cleared to the lead and reached the half in :59 and three-quarters in 1:28.

Down the stretch, Ugotlegs was still in the lead but with a sixteenth of a mile to go Massive Drama popped out from the pocket getting the best of her rivals as she stopped the clock in 1:58.4. Ugotlegs stayed for second with As Yall Like It finishing third after using a ground saving trip from driver Paul MacDonell.

Massive Drama, a daughter of Credit Winner, scored her third victory of her career and increased her bankroll to $82,590 for owner Stable 45, Deena Rachel Frost and Peter Venturini.
