Columbus, OH — 2007 Hambletonian Oaks winner Danae heads up a field of ten sophomore filly trotters in the $150,000 American-National on Saturday night (August 25) at Balmoral Park.

Trained by George Teague, Jr., the sophomore daughter of Andover Hall comes into the fourth race co-feature with $447,141 in career earnings and a mark of 1:54.2 taken in her Oaks victory. Teague, who co-owns the filly with Rodney Mitchell Inc. of Delaware, has named Hall of Famer Dave Magee to drive.

As well, ten of North America’s top trotting colts will go behind the gate for the $205,000 American-National for sophomores.

Magee has also been named behind the Osvaldo Formia-trained Xactly Hanover — who most recently won a $5,000 Open at The Red Mile in 1:53.2 for Andy Miller. The son of SJ’s Caviar has $151,217 in career earnings for the connections of Paul Nigito, Peter Barbato, Skipper Mathews and Tindaro Abramo.
