Columbus, OH — 2007 Hambletonian Oaks winner Danae will headline a field of sophomore filly trotters in the $160,000 American-National on Saturday, August 25, at Balmoral Park.

According to racing secretary Doc Narotsky, the connections of Danae — Rodney Mitchell Inc. and Teague Inc. of Delaware — have supplemented their top filly for $14,000 to the event.

Other entrants include Hambletonian Oaks starters Possess The Magic (from the Ron Gurfein barn) and Falls For You (from the Trond Smedshammer Stable).

The 3-year-old colt field — with a purse of $200,000 — will feature Hambletonian fourth-place finisher Please Poppy and fifth-place finisher Great Success, as well as the lightly-raced trotting colt Rune, who hails from the Jimmy Takter Stable.
