Lexington, KY — Ten 3-year-old filly trotters, including Hambletonian Oaks and American-National winner Danae, will meet at The Red Mile in the $178,000 Moni Maker final on Sunday night, September 16.

Danae, an Andover Hall filly trained by George Teague, will start from post seven in a field of 10. Danae has earned $464,135 in purses this year.

To her immediate outside will be Possess The Magic, a Self Possessed filly that has won $308,973 in purses this year. Possess The Magic, who is driven by Mike Lachance for trainer Ron Gurfein, set a world record of 1:54.2 for 2-year-old filly trotters last year at The Red Mile. She drew a bye into the Moni Maker final.

Gerri’s Joy won the lone elimination and will start from post nine.

Two-year-old fillies will fill three $12,800 divisions of the John Simpson Memorial for trotters and four $10,500 divisions for pacers.

In race 13 for pacers, Kentucky Sires Stakes champion Beachy Girl is the 7-5 morning line favorite from post one. This filly by Real Desire is trained by Joe Seekman and has won seven of eight starts and $235,267 in purses.

Several classy fillies will face off in race eight for pacers. Good News Lady, winner of the Eternal Camnation at Mohawk Racetrack, will battle Blue Rae, winner of the Kentuckiana Stallion Management Stakes. Two wild cards could be Cuz She Can, who lost a tough battle to Beachy Girl in the KYSS final, and Flying Color, who won three straight early closers at The Red Mile.

Valbruna, winner of the Kentuckiana Stallion Management Stakes for trotters, will start from post seven in her Simpson division. This Conway Hall filly is trained by Gurfein and is a 9-5 morning line favorite.

Don’t miss race two, where Decimal Hanover, a half-sister to Hambletonian champion Donato Hanover, will make her first lifetime start. She will face eight other trotting fillies in her Simpson division, including Hayes winner Bella Verde.

Post time for Sunday’s 15-race card is 6:30 p.m.
