Washington, PA — Dave Palone is a legend on the track as he nears Herve Filion’s North American career win record of 15,180. Thursday, he became a legend on the mound as well when he threw the ceremonial first pitch at the Washington Wild Things game at CONSOL Energy Park.

The event was part of the Wild Things’ “Legends Week” which also features former Major League Baseball great Sean Casey, wrestler Robbie E, longtime Pittsburgh Steelers broadcaster Bill Hillgrove and Lanny Frattare, former voice of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Wild Things play in the independent Frontier League.
