Columbus, OH — Debbie Gordon from Asheboro, N.C., who was making her first trip to a harness track at The Meadows in Washington, Pa., was selected as the winner of the special 2013 Back to the Track Harness Bingo second chance drawing.

As the winner, Gordon will receive a choice of two VIP tickets to this year’s Little Brown Jug or to the 2014 Hambletonian. In addition, she will receive a special USTA gift bag containing branded merchandise, the “100 Years in Harness” book, a Yannick Gingras bobblehead and a Hambletonian t-shirt.

During Back to the Track weekend, Gordon was in Pennsylvania visiting a relative.

“My aunt lived in Pennsylvania at the time,” explained Gordon. “We wanted to get our Aunt out of the house for a while and we like to gamble.

“It was the first time I’d ever seen it. It was fun,” added the Asheboro resident.

During the fourth annual Back to the Track weekend, from Friday (July 5) through Sunday (July 7), harness racing fans were able to join in the national celebration of harness racing at more than 20 racetracks and fairs across the country.

Back to the Track is a cooperative effort among the USTA, its member racetracks and horsemen from coast to coast. In its four-year history, the promotion has provided fans across the country with exciting days and nights of harness racing combined with fan-friendly and fun promotions at more than 20 different racetracks and fairs.
