Ft. Washington, MD –– DM Destiny confirmed his ability once again by earning a remarkable win in the $8,200 Winners Over Pace on Saturday at Rosecroft.

The seven-year-old gelded son of Albert Albert faced the starter in post five as the 9-2 third choice with trainer/driver Frank Milby in the sulky. Milby allowed the pacer to fall back along the rail in fifth, waiting until the top of the stretch to come three wide for a fast-closing victory in 1:52.4.

Early in the race, the even-money favorite Tarver Hanover took control to post fractions of :27.2, :55.3 and 1:23.3. With Jimmy Marohn, Jr. at the lines, the four-year-old Ball And Chain horse was very strong throughout the mile and crossed under the wire one length behind the winner. Dixie Pride, overlooked at 7-1 odds, completed the trifecta.

DM Destiny, owned by Roy Parian, Jr. and Claire Viola of New Jersey, has over $200,000 in lifetime earnings and a record of 4-1-0 across the board from seven 2005 starts. He returned a win price of $11.20 and the 5-1-3 trifecta paid out $182.80.

Rosecroft resumes racing on Thursday evening, with post time set at 7:20 p.m.
