Devaux has another five-win day at Monticello

Monticello, NY — For the second time in less than a week Monticello Raceway’s leading driver, Jimmy Devaux, has driven five winners on one card.
It happened again for the 40-year-old tailsetter on Thursday, October 11.

Jim Devaux had another five-winning drive performance on Thursday.
Devaux opened the Mighty M 12-race card with a pair of victories, scoring in both ends of the early double. He reined Jack and Rose Deluca’s Major Attack ($6.80) to a 2:01.3 victory in the first race and then won the second behind Joe Rubeo’s trotter KF Trump ($13.20) in 2:04.2.
Devaux made noise again in race number nine when he guided Mike Doherty’s Big Horn ($6.50) to a 2:02.2 triumph and then proceeded to win the tenth with Lennie Vono’s KGs Fury ($3.30) in a time of 1:59.4.
Devaux capped the day with a 2:06.2 triumph in the pouring rain with Vinnie Firpo’s trotter Midnite Credit ($28.80).
With his five victories Devaux now has 241 for the meeting and leads runner-up Stephane Bouchard by 15 victories.
