District 8A Meeting, Election Held

The annual meeting of USTA District 8A, which includes New York City and suburbs, was held on Saturday afternoon, December 2 at the recently re-opened Yonkers Raceway.
There were approximately 20 members in attendance, in addition to membership directors Pat Quaglietta, John Grasso and Joe Faraldo, who is also district chairman, and track directors Tim Rooney and Bob Galterio.
Discussion and voting was held on rule change proposals and results of the election for the membership director’s position currently held by 
Joe Faraldo were announced. Mr. Faraldo was re-elected over opponent Jeffrey Gural, 353 votes to 160.
Membership Director Pat Quaglietta was elected as chairman of the district, replacing Joe Faraldo.
