Ft. Washington, MD –– Roy Parian, Jr. and Claire Viola’s DM Destiny has been assigned the outside post in this week’s edition of the $8,200 winners over handicap pace on Rosecroft’s Saturday card.

Facing the competitive field as the 2-1 morning line choice, the seven-year-old gelded son of Albert Albert will again rely on the driving skills of Frank Milby.

Last week, the gelding drove home with a final quarter of :28.3 to cross the wire one length ahead of even-money favorite Tarver Hanover in 1:52.4. DM Destiny has earned four wins from seven yearly starts.

Tarver Hanover, second choice at 5-2, will come to the gate in post two. Trainer Roy Dinges has given regular reinsman Jimmy Marohn, Jr. the driving assignment. Owned by Country Boy’s Stable, the four-year-old Ball And Chain stallion has previously paced a mile in 1:52 flat on the Rosecroft oval.

One to consider is Dixie Pride, who finished third in this class last week. The four-year-old son of Real Artist will face the starter at 9-2 morning line odds with owner/trainer/driver Joe Offutt in control.

Completing the field are Blissfull Silence (Trevor Stafford), Mr Thinker (Donnie Russell) and No Wishes (Jonathan Roberts).

An early post time is set for 7:00 p.m. to accommodate the 11-race card on Saturday at Rosecroft.

In celebration of the Kentucky Derby, the grandstand will open at 10:30 a.m. Admission is $5.00 with valet parking available. The first 1,000 paid guests will receive a free Rosecroft T-shirt. Call (301) 567-4000 for information.
