Dream Maker is Jamieson’s game

Campbellville, ON — Carl Jamieson’s flotilla of 2-year-old pacing colts makes up fully half the field for Monday night’s (August 4) C$54,500 final of the Dream Maker Series at Mohawk. With that kind of success, the biggest challenge is finding drivers for them all when they go head-to-head.

Jody Jamieson will be sitting behind the handsome black colt Artists Rally, for whom he is a co-owner (with Ken Henwood and Jeff Gillis), and Carl himself will be driving Pence Hanover, a gelded son of Western Hanover who has been fifth and fourth in the first two legs of this series.

Jason Brewer has been recruited to steer Stampede Seelster, who was second by a nose in the series opener before being scratched sick for last week’s second leg. Jack Moiseyev will pilot Check On Jack, who has yet to break his maiden but was a solid third in the first two series legs, and Paul MacDonell will do the honors with Chief Of The Beach, who won handily in his division of the opener two weeks ago but got beaten in the sequel by Bob McIntosh trainee Evening Job, who is the 7-2 third choice going into the final.

There’s no need to choose between Jamieson’s gang of talented colts; as a stable entry, they’re going off at a collective 4-5. But there could be considerable excitement in seeing whose rising star emerges on Monday.

Catch the Dream Maker Final at Mohawk. It’s race four, with post time at 8:22 p.m. (EDT).
