Dream Wave, a winter purchase by Rodney Mitchell of Camden, Delaware, teamed with Eddie Davis to turn back eight rivals, scoring a 1:534 victory in a race for three, four, and five-year-olds. Market Dreamer (Les Givens) and Yare (George Dennis) trailed the winner crossing the finish line.

Earlier Davis, a nine-time track leading driver, hustled Arty Fosters’ Cheyenne Maybe Not from off the pace to overtake favorite Ironstone Michael (Eddie Davis, Jr.) in the closing strides to score a 1:562 victory in a $10,800 Delaware Pace. Sonnie’s Sonofagun (Andrew Stafford) was third.

Bret Brittingham took command early with Sunburnt Fella A and then held off a late challenge from Mattsahonker (Toby Lynch) in the stretch to score his fifth victory in six starts to win the first $20,000 Delaware claiming pace. John Walters A (Mike Cole) came on to finish third.

The five-year-old Beach Towel gelding won his first start for Bill Bignall, who claimed him last time out, with a 1:534 victory in the second $20,000 Delaware claimer. All Systems Go NZ (Brad Hanners) followed in second. Art Of Gold (Ross Wolfenden) was the show horse.
