DSBF elims contested Tuesday at Harrington

HARRINGTON, Del. – Three $15,000 divisions of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes for 2-year-old pacing fillies were contested Tuesday at Harrington Raceway.

Honeyland (Brad Hanners) won her split in 1:57.2.

John Celii’s Honeyland (1:57.2, Brad Hanners) and Winbak Farm, John and Earl Wagner’s Double Flip (1:57.2, Tony Morgan) were the two fastest winners, while Lester Walls and Jack Upchurch’s Dressed for Summer (1:57.4, Roger Plante) won the remaining split. The 2nd leg will be contested on October 17, and the $100,000 final on October 25. All three winners were sired by Badlands Hanover.

Meanwhile, Bill Dittmar, S.Iaquinta, Ken Wood and Henry King’s Yada Yada Yada A (1:54, Ross Wolfenden) won the featured event for older mares with a 1:54 triumph in the $16,500 Filly and Mare Open. The 6-year-old Armbro Operative mare set the fractions and coasted to a one length win for trainer Eric Ell.
