Yonkers, NY — Shezaflamintower continued a rare ascent from the ‘four’ claimer level when she picked up her eighth straight victory at Yonkers Raceway on Wednesday evening, May 23.

The 7-year-old mare by Water Tower, out of Gingers Hot Cookie, had been undefeated in her last seven tries at Monticello, spanning back to December 24. She has raced for claiming prices of $4,000, $5,000, $7,000 and now $10,000 during the string.

Owned by Gary Chubb of Fenton, Michigan, Shezaflamintower enjoyed a two hole trip behind pacesetter Bunny My Gal before catching her in the lane and winning by a half length in 1:55.2, easily her fastest time during the winning streak.

Larry Stalbaum, who has enjoyed success with Levy Pace runner-up Special Report, earned the driving victory for trainer Kimberly Asher.

The victor was a 1-2 post time favorite, returning $3.00 to win.
