Entries for Saturday’s Opens at Shenandoah Downs due by Wednesday morning

Woodstock, VA — Shenandoah Downs will introduce a pair of new $25,000 Open races this Saturday (Oct. 8) in celebration of the two mountain ranges that surround the charming half-mile oval nestled in the heart of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley.

Entries for the inaugural Blue Ridge Open Pace and Alleghany Open Trot are due by draw day on Wednesday (Oct. 5). The winning owners will receive a trophy. Shenandoah Downs is conveniently located off I-81 in the northwest part of Virginia, halfway between Winchester and Harrisonburg, at Exit 283.
