Toronto, ON — All three favorites emerged victorious in Monday night’s (Jan. 5) first leg of the Lifetime Dream Trotting Series for 4-year-old mares at Woodbine Racetrack.

Mojo N The Morning went wire-to-wire in the opening C$25,000 split for driver Jack Moiseyev in 1:59.2. The daughter of Angus Hall-Lukes Secret overcame the outside post seven in turning back Nashotah and La Dolce.

The victory boosted the Frank Colville trainee’s career bankroll to $76,754 for daughter Joanne who owns. Mojo N The Morning returned $4.50 for the win.

Glide Sally Glide was a head winner over Frenchfrysnvinegar in their division.

It was the exact same scenario in the second division as Duchessofnorthyork wired the field for Luc Ouellette in 1:58.1. The daughter of Duke Of York-Momentary Madness held off a determined Northern Flare with Fa Mulan finishing third.

Duchessofnorthyork returned $5.10 in her fourth career victory for trainer Kevin McMaster who co-owns along with the North York Stables and Larry Murrell. The win increased her lifetime bankroll to $63,059.

In the final split, Glide Sally Glide used a different approach in winning a hard-fought decision from off the pace in 1:57.3 — the fastest of the three divisions. The daughter of Yankee Glide-Chips Caller needed the entire stretch to just edge out pacesetting Frenchfrysnvinegar with Scottish Cross finishing a close third.

The winner returned $3.20 and boosted her career bankroll to $80,111 for owners Alan White and Doug Rideout of Indiana. She is conditioned by Brian Lee.

The second round of the Lifetime Dream Series will go next Monday night (Jan. 12) at Woodbine.
