Dover, DE — Favorites took the $20,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund second leg preliminaries as well as two $15,000 Go The Distance divisions at Dover Downs on Sunday, March 29.

The favorites prevailed in the all-DSBF daily double where the 7-2 combination paid a new low of $4.20 when Roger Hans-conditioned Tom’s Toy, an odds-on favorite, won her fourth in a row dating back to last November. Tom Cooke’s homebred was driven by Corey Callahan to the 1:55.2 victory, one of his two winners. Honey (George Dennis) was runner-up. Karen’s Destiny (Jon Roberts) took third.

AJ’s Lilgamblngal was a 1:55 winner in her DSBF preliminary.

In the second race, Brandon Givens drove AJ’s Lilgamblngal to an off-the-pace 1:55 win for Charles and Diane Corsey and Wayne Givens. Naughty Francesca (Roberts) was second. B A Lady (Bryan Truitt) came home third. It was the second straight DSBF prelim win for each of the winners.

Rusty’s Joy, reined by Corey Callahan, scored a 1:54.4 triumph in the other $20,000 DSBF prelim. Eddie Davis, Jr. guided the win for Bobby Myers and Carter Racing Stable. The Badlands Hanover-Jate’s Joy filly bested Little Bit Tricky (Vince Copeland) and Everymileamemory (Kevin Sizer), who were second and third, respectively.

There were repeat winners in both haves of the Go The Distance II contests. Man He Can Go, with Ross Wolfenden at the controls, rolled to a 1:55 victory in the first $15,000 division of the mile portion of the three-pronged event. Brian Callahan and Gloria Kinnamon own the Masterman-Fair Decision gelding, who recorded his fifth consecutive win. Pesto Hanover (Givens) was second with Scootin Delta A (Callahan) taking third money.

Doris Marine’s Rare Bunny made it another win after setting a North American record 1:08.3 last week in a five-eighths-mile dash. The Precious Bunny-How Rare 6-year-old has now won four races in a row. PJ Camalike (Givens) was next. On The Tee (Vince Copeland) took third.
